Alexandra Hayes
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Alex, co-founder of Studio AM has been a designer for over 12 years and has had work featured in books and magazines around the world. Previous clients include Skype, Toyota, BBC Worldwide, WWF UK and The World Health Organisation.
She has a geeky love of maps and diagrams but mostly enjoys just pottering in a field somewhere with her animator husband, chatterbox toddler, two lively lurchers and two very naughty pygmy goats.
Matthew Maxwell
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Jamaican born Matthew co-founded Studio Am and has been a designer for over 20 years, working on a variety of projects covering all aspects of design, advertising and production. He's designed logos, written radio copy and curated art exhibitions. He loves clean type and designs involving patterns and codes. Outside the office he enjoys country walking, collecting art and photography and deciding which of his over 70 pairs of trainers to wear (currently Rainbow Footscape Woven Motion if you care about that kind of thing).
Nicola Howells
SENIOR ARTWORKER
Efficient, accurate artworking is the name of Nicola's game; her main focus being to supply quality, print-ready artwork on budget and before deadline. She honed her pre-press skills at St Richard's Press; brochure publishing at First Choice and Sovereign Hayes & Jarvis; and production prowess at Oliver & Graimes.
Previous clients include Sotherbys, Goodwood, Elite Hotels, Kuoni, One&Only, Canadian Airlines, Tourism Australia and Jet2. Happy for Nicola = vitamin green: country pub walks rewarded with a surprisingly good 'on-budget' lunch.
Danny Bush
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Danny has over 20 years experience in the creative industry having worked at agencies such as Mother, Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam, The Corner and WCRS. He has produced work for adidas, Selfridges, Sky, Nike, BMW, Budweiser to name just a few.
You’ll usually find him outdoors with his wife, dog and Campervan or somewhere obsessing over vinyl, beer, Land Rover Defenders, huevos rancheros, James Bond, football, camouflage, footwear and lists.
Gray Simpson
LEAD CREATIVE
Gray is something of a renaissance man, with a fine art background and over 10 years experience in graphic design and illustration. He's equally happy creating beautiful print projects, stunning websites or engaging concepts for national campaigns. Previous clients include Channel 4, NHS, Stonewall and errr...Aled Jones.
When he's not designing he's probably painting, cycling, playing video games or being introduced to weird foods by his gourmand girlfriend.
Dilly Bush
HEAD OF HR
Dilly Bush is a Mini-Schnauzer who comes into the office whenever she feels like it. Her current list of tricks is paw, other paw, sit, down, roll over, stand on two legs and a 360 twist and her pièce de résistance, playing dead after being shot by finger guns.
She enjoys chasing golf balls on her morning walk and has a golf ball collection of over 100 now. Belly rubs and super smelly snacks are two of the ways to get into her good books.
